On December 14th, we are excited to be hosting HOPE: A Benefit for the People of Northwest Haiti. The concert will feature Judith Hill from Michael Jackson’s “This Is It.” Every dollar of the ticket sales will go to feeding starving people in Northwest Haiti. Haiti is the poorest country in the entire western hemisphere. In 2008, three hurricanes hit the island of Haiti in a matter of four weeks. Since then food has been even more scarce than it was before. If this benefit sells out completely, then the money from the tickets will feed over 500,000 people. I’ve always been a fan of Mexican food. It’s hard to go wrong with meat, cheese and rice. Plus when it’s one in the morning it’s the only thing open. But today I tasted some food that changed my perspective on real Mexican food. We headed down to Redondo Beach, CA and ate at Ortega 120. The flavors were ridiculous, and the atmosphere was laid back and authentic.
